The author seeks to ensure that listeners can distinguish between science and pseudoscience when thinking about what to eat. Yen handles the scientific nomenclature admirably and, most importantly, has the right tone. The work, chockablock with information, has detailed researched opinions on the use and misuse of nutritional information. It is a much needed corrective to the plethora of preposterous notions about what we eat put forth daily on the Internet and elsewhere.
